Pastoral Care

Hi everyone, my name is Amy and I am the Chaplain at Waddington. I love working at this fantastic school and helping to support the students, families and staff here.

I am a qualified social worker and I have worked in schools in WA, NSW and the NT. My role is to help develop the potential of students by providing guidance and support. I do this through talking to students and families, but also through running different activities and helping to connect families to support services. My focus is on the emotional, social, and mental health needs of all students and families but I’m also really passionate about physical health and wellbeing (and I love sports).

12 Buckets

We have recently been added to the 12 Buckets Program. 12 Buckets is a not for profit organisation aimed at assisting students with their social and emotional wellbeing. They have mentors that work with students on projects that improve their confidence, self esteem, social skills and wellbeing. To find out more about the program please go to:

We are a Wanslea partner school and our students have the opportunity to work with a Youth Support Worker through the Cusp Program. This program provides support for students mental health. More information can be found at:
